Prerequisites:

  • Server with Windows Server 2019 installed.
  • Access to disk management tools.

Steps:

  1. Open Disk Management:

    • Press Win + X and select "Disk Management."
  2. Locate the Partition to Extend:

    • In the Disk Management window, find the partition you want to extend.
  3. Free Up Space on the Disk (Optional):

    • If the partition is adjacent to unallocated space, you can free up space by deleting unnecessary partitions.
  4. Right-Click on the Partition:

    • Right-click on the partition you want to extend.
  5. Select "Extend Volume":

    • Choose "Extend Volume" from the context menu.
  6. Follow the Wizard Directions:

    • Click "Next" in the Extend Volume wizard.
    • Choose the available space to extend the partition.
  7. Complete the Process:

    • Click "Next" and confirm your intention to extend the partition.
  8. Finish and Verify Results:

    • After the wizard completes, check the Disk Management window to confirm that the partition has been extended.

Please note that if the partition is not adjacent to unallocated space, you may need to use third-party partition management tools or consider moving and resizing partitions to create contiguous unallocated space. Always ensure you have a backup of your data before making significant changes to disk partitions.
